Representative Quinn recently testified before the Joint Committee on Public Health on the bill he authored that would provide needle collection centers wherever hypodermic needles are sold over the counter

Representative hosted several classes from the Dartmouth Public Schools during 2005.  These classes took an educational tour of the State House and a private tour by Rep. Quinn of the House Chamber.



Rep. Quinn invited the Dartmouth High School Girls State Championship basketball team to the State House for a tour and recognition in the House Chamber.  This was followed by a luncheon and citation ceremony in Rep Quinn's office.





Rep. Quinn joined Rep. Canessa and several New Bedford City Councilors for the New Bedford Prevention Public Servant Cook-off contest.

Rep. Quinn was joined by (L to R) Lakeville COA Director Marilyn Mansfield, Elder Affairs Secretary Jennifer Davis Carey, Rep. Steve Canessa and Lakeville Selectman Richard LaCamera at the Lakeville Council on Aging to celebrate November as family caregiver month.



Rep. Quinn and Rep. Canessa surprised Lakeville Post Office employee Lynda Johnson with a citation from the House of Representatives.  Ms. Johnson is transferring from the Lakeville Post Office after 20 years of service.



Rep. Quinn attended the 2nd annual Working Waterfront Festival in New Bedford, which celebrated the history and traditions of the commercial fishing industry.

Rep. Quinn recently nominated Michael Fernandes of Westport, owner of Northern Wind Seafood Inc. of New Bedford to receive the Annual Heritage Day of Portugal Award at the State House on June 6, 2006.
